This year's show, themed "Say I Do: Down in Aisle in Beautiful Style" is full of exciting new ideas for planning your special day. Grab your partner and come spend the afternoon with us! Enjoy the fashion show, the Men's Corner, various wedding workshops and visit the many exhibitors available. The success of this event would not be possible without the participation and support of our brides, our exhibitors and our sponsors. General Showcase Information
The St. Andrews Woman's Club Bridal Showcase has provided "wedding bliss" for Midlands-area bridal service providers and community-service organizations for thirty one years! The Bridal showcase is a "Win-Win-Win" event! First, area brides and their families are able to comparison shop among many vendors during one afternoon, a huge advantage for wedding planning. Second, local bridal service providers have the opportunity for hands-on contact with nearly 500 brides in one afternoon. The St. Andrews Woman's Club is able to support several local community service organizations with the proceeds from the event.
The Bridal Showcase will feature 100+ booths by the premier providers of wedding services in the Midlands, fashion show 3:00 PM, and fantastic grand prizes. Exhibitors display their merchandise and services while local brides-to-be comparison shop for the special touches that make their wedding day memorable. During the fashion shows, professional models show the latest in bridal gowns, tuxedoes, and honeymoon apparel.
St. Andrews Woman's Club is committed to providing the premier bridal event in the Midlands. All members participate in the production of the Showcase. The club members coordinate publicity, exhibitors, facilities, staffing, fashion shows, bridal registration, and other jobs. This year the show includes exhibitors from all aspects of the bridal industry: bridal and tux shops, florists, caterers, wedding directors, wedding and reception sites, photographers, videographers, musicians and DJ's, china and home furnishings, honeymoon travel, and more! Many of the exhibitors participate from year to year, and club members look forward to working with them every year.
St. Andrews Woman's Club Bridal Showcase is the longest-running bridal event in the Columbia area. More importantly, it is the only show whose mission is community service and is a member of the General Federation of Women's Club. The Bridal Showcase generates funds that are donated to local community-service organizations and also provides funding for more than 100 "hands on" community service projects provided annually by St. Andrews Woman's Club. Proceeds from the 2012 Showcase were donated to: Canoeing for Kids, Dream Riders, Family Shelter, Harvest Hope, Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands, Sharing God's Love, St. Andrews Kids Cafe, The Free Medical Clinic, The Therapy Place, USO - South Carolina and Palmetto Place Children's Emergency Shelter.
The Co-Chairmen for the 2013 Showcase are Barbara Cross and Barbara Williams. The St. Andrews Woman's Club Bridal Showcase is a wonderful example of how volunteers working together, with the help of local business and charitable individuals, can make a difference in our community.
