Home Life Community Service Program

"Photo Gallery"

The Home Life Community Service Program has been involved in many areas that affect the quality of life and health of our club members and members of our community.

  • We collect used cell phones and old ink cartridges to donate to Easter Seals.

  • We donated to the Snack Pack Programs to feed children on the weekends when they can’t get school lunches.

  • We provided nutritional lunches for 52 low-income elementary students at a “summer camp” experience at a local school last summer.

  • We support our local Relay for Life event each year.

  • We staffed the on-air phone bank at WIS-TV for Families Helping Families Christmas gift campaign and “adopted” a family of six for Christmas.

  • We volunteered at the March of Dimes Signature Chef’s Auction (and enjoyed sampling some delicious food as a reward for our help!).

  • We invited a female cardiologist from the SC Heart Center to talk to us about women’s heart health, and for another club program we invited the “mission delivery manager” of the American Cancer Society to tell us about all the valuable services offered by the A.C.S.   Both programs were very interesting and helpful.

  • Each month we share with club members some useful information on a variety of health issues.

  • Last year we provided information on good bone health and preventing osteoporosis to local middle school girls.  You are never too young to start thinking about taking care of your bones!

  • Our Home Life ladies have made donations to Harvest Hope and Sharing God’s Love local food bank.
